RE: APPROVE VACATION, VAC23-0050, OF SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SUP-118 -
ANADARKO E&P ONSHORE,LLC
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County,Colorado,and
WHEREAS,by Resolution dated November 10,1971,the Board approved Special Use
Permit,SUP-118,for an expansion of an existing turkey farm operation in the A(Agricultural)
Zone District,for Leonard Strear,dba S.L.S.Turkey Farms,Inc.,on the following described real
estate,to-wit:
N1/2 of Section 21, and the E1/2 NE1/4
of Section 20,Township 2 North, Range 67 West
of the 6th P.M.,Weld County,Colorado
WHEREAS,the Board has received a request,dated October 5,2023,from the current
property owner,Anadarko E&P Onshore,LLC,P.O.Box 173779,Denver,Colorado 80217-3779,
to vacate said Special Use Permit,SUP-118,and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and
statements of those present,studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of the
Department of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this matter
and,having been fully informed,deems it advisable to approve said vacation.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that Special Use Permit,SUP-118,be,and hereby is,vacated.

NARRATIVE:The applicants are in the process of obtaining a 1041 WOGLA application with the Weld County
Oil and Gas Energy Department.Weld County Department of Planning Services requested in
the pre-application meeting that the applicants vacate the existing Use by Special Review,
recorded November 12,1971.
Anadarko E&P Onshore LLC proceeds to request a complete vacation of SUP-118,fora Turkey Farm up to 70,000
turkeys,as the use permitted under the Use by Special Review is no longer active.The property is used for
numerous oil and gas facilities.
The Department of Planning Services staff has reviewed this request and recommends that this
request be approved.

To whom it may concern:
Anadarko E&P Onshore LLC owns the Property which is covered by a Special Use Permit entitled SUP-118
Turkey Farm 70,000 as approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County on November 12,1971.
The Property is no longer used by Anadarko E&P Onshore LLC("Owner")for the purposes permitted by SUP-
118 and Owner respectfully requests that Weld County Vacate SUP-118 covering the Property.The Primary use
of the Property currently oil and gas facilities,dry land agriculture and rangeland.Furthermore,the turkey barns
and other buildings for the turkey farm operations have been demolished and removed from the Property.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS , a public hearing was held on Wednesday , October 27 ,
1971 in the chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County ,
Colorado , for the purpose of hearing the petition of Leonard Strear , dba
S . L . S . Turkey Farms , Inc . , 3758 Osage Street , Denver , Colorado , requesting
permission for expansion of an existing turkey farm operation on the follow-
ing described property , to -wit :
North - half ( N 1 /2 ) of Section Twenty -One ( 21 ) , Township
Twp ( 2 ) North , Range Sixty - seven ( 67 ) West 3 the East - half
( E 1 /2 ) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1 /4 ) of Section Twenty
( 20 ) , Township Two ( 2 ) North , Range Sixty - seven ( 67 ) West
of the 6th P . M . Weld County , Colorado , and
WHEREAS , the petitioner was present , and
WHEREAS , there was no opposition to the request of petitioner for
the expansion of an existing turkey farm operation , and
WHEREAS , the said requested expansion of an existing turkey
farm operation is located in an agricultural zone as set forth by the Weld
County Zoning Resolution , and
WHEREAS , according to Section 3 . 3 ( 3 ) of the Zoning Resolution
of Weld County , said turkey farm operation or any expansion thereof may
be authorized upon the approval of the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County , and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners heard all the
testimony and statements of those present; has studied the request of
the petitioner and studied the recommendations of the Weld County
Planning Commission , and having been fully informed ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners , that the application of Leonard Strear dba S . L . S . Turkey
Farms , Inc . , 3758 Osage Street , Denver , Colorado , for expansion of an
existing turkey farm operation on the premises indicated above be , and
it hereby is granted under the conditions following :
1 . That any water and sanitation facilities to be installed shall
be approved by the State Health Department .
2 . That petitioner shall proceed with due diligence to expand said
existing turkey farm operation and that he shall have up to one year from
date hereof to begin construction for the expansion thereof .
3 . That when completed said turkey farm operation shall not be
expanded to more than 70 , 000 turkeys at any one time .
4 . That all applicable subdivision and zoning regulations shall
be followed and complied with in accordance with the Zoning Resolutions
of Weld County , Colorado .
