Home My WebLink About20232411.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR RESTORATIVE JUSTICE EDUCATION AND AUTHORIZE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO SIGN AND SUBMIT ELECTRONICALLY - INTERAGENCY OVERSIGHT GROUP OF WELD COUNTY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Professional Development Agreement for Restorative Justice Education between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Interagency Oversight Group of Weld County, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said agreement, and WHEREAS, aler review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Professional Development Agreement for Restorative Justice Education between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Interagency Oversight Group of Weld County, be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Jamie Ulrich, Director of the Department of Human Services, be, and hereby is, authorized to electronically sign and submit said agreement. This agreement is for professional development training titled "Introduction to Culture of Care" for school staff, which will be held in 4 sessions. What options exist for the Board? • Approval of the Professional Development Agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. • Deny approval of the Professional Development Agreement. Consequences: Training will not be held. Impacts: School staff will not receive needed training. Costs (Current Fiscal Year / Ongoing or Subsequent Fiscal Years): • Total cost = $18,000.00 (Two payments of $9,000.00) • Funded through the Collaborative Management Program (CMP) incentive funds that the State has allocated to Weld County. Training dates/sessions will be invoiced as follows: • Upon completion of the training dates on 9/11/23 & 9/12/23, an invoice for the amount of $9,000 will be submitted to Weld County for payment of training services provided. • Upon completion of the training dates on - _ Interagency Oversight Group of Weld County a. Invite up to 50 participants to the training, provide an email list of all participants to RJEd, and gather attendance data as needed. b. Provide a training location. c. Print training workbooks for participants as provided by RJEd.
