This year we received over $1.15 million in funding requests, however only $744,000 was available from Weed Fund and State and Private Forestry sources. This made the review committee's decisions very difficult due to the number of competitive projects worthy of funding. We are pleased to inform you that the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) has selected your project, Hairy Willow Herb, Yellow Flag Iris and Teasel Eradication in Weld County, for partial funding in 2023 for an amount up to $18,000. The highly competitive nature of project funding led the review committee to look very carefully at all aspects of each proposal. If you would like specific feedback on your grant application and the decisions made by the review committee, please let us know. For this year's funding, there are several things to keep in mind when implementing your project: • This notification letter does not constitute the start date of the grant. CDA will work with you to develop a Statement of Work (SOW) with a summary budget that will be incorporated into your grant agreement. All grant funds are available on a reimbursable basis only. The funding received must be matched on a 1:1 basis. Matching contributions may be incurred up to 90 days prior to your start date. Once you have received the approved Grant Agreement and attached Statement of Work, you can begin incurring expenses that are reimbursable. If the grantee is a non -governmental organization, you may be required to keep and maintain liability, automobile and workers compensation insurance. You may be required to submit a W-9 to verify your tax ID number and current address. I will contact you soon to discuss the terms and requirements of your SOW, and we will have a Grant Agreement issued as soon as possible after we finalize the SOW together. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
