RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF GWENDOLYN JENKINS AS ASSISTANT VETERANS
SERVICE OFFICER
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County,Colorado,and
WHEREAS,the obligations,terms,and qualifications of County Veterans Service Officers,
including the appointment for two-year terms,are enumerated in C.R.S.§28-5-801 through 805,
and
WHEREAS,a vacancy currently exists for a Weld County Assistant Veterans Service
Officer,and
WHEREAS,the Board deems it advisable to appoint Gwendolyn Jenkins as a Weld
County Assistant Veterans Service Officer,with a term commencing November 1,2023,and
ending October 31,2025.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County,Colorado,that Gwendolyn Jenkins,be,and hereby is,appointed as a Weld County
Assistant Veterans Service Officer,with a term as listed above.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of November,A.D.,2023.
