RE: REASSIGN AND REAPPOINT COMMISSIONERS TO COORDINATE DEPARTMENTS
FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2023
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-6 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, each of the
major departments of County government, as established by Article IV of said Charter, shall be
coordinated by one Commissioner with assistance from another Commissioner, and
WHEREAS, on January 4, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved
Resolution #2023-0005, signed on January 11, 2023, which assigned and appointed
Commissioners to coordinate Weld County Departments for 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to terminate the assignments and appointments
set forth in Resolution #2023-0005, effective July 19, 2023, and to reassign and reappoint the
Commissioners to coordinate departments as follows:

Administration
Department of Health Services
Including Extension Services
Department of Planning Services
Including Oil and Gas Energy
Department of Public Works
Department of Human Services

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the assignment and appointments set forth in Resolution #2023-0005, of
Commissioners to coordinate Weld County Departments for 2023, be, and hereby are,
terminated, effective July 19, 2023.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above -named Commissioners be, and hereby are,
appointed as coordinators and assistants of the departments as hereinabove set forth, all in
accordance with Section 3-6 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, for the remainder of 2023.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 19th day of July, A.D., 2023.
