Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Second Floor Hearing Room 210&via Microsoft Teams The Weld County Board of Health met on November 28,2023,at 9:00 a.m.in the second-floor hearing room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft Teams. Those present included: Board Members:Tom Cope,Doug Printz,Anthony Gallardo,Fred Hepner,Lonnie Ford,Michael Wailes,Linda Kautz,and Bree Lukens. Others:Katie Sall and Lauren Light from Environmental Health,Jason Chessher,Executive Director,Weld County Department of Public Health&Environment. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM.A motion was made by Doug Printz to approve the agenda.Michael Wailes seconded the motion,and the motion was carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The board approved the minutes of the October 24,2023,meeting.A motion was made to approve by Lonnie Ford and Doug Printz seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT:Jason Chessher reported that the medical van's inspections are finished,purchase will be finalized soon. Finance Department has a position open for finance director if you know of any person that might be interested,new employee will start in January. Jack's solar garden is in boulder county,over 3200 solar panels create the solar 3-acre garden area, this solar garden teaches solar developers and farmers how to produce renewable energy while continuing agricultural production via agrivoltaics.Researchers are partnering with Jack's solar garden to study growing crops underneath and around solar panels.On site tours are available if you are interested to learn about how to improve land use management practices by combining two known practices agriculture&solar energy Staff Discussion: Lauren Light thanked all the board members for showing up to BOH meetings through the year,thank you cards&gift cards were given to board members as a token of appreciation,she also asked if they had any special requests for next year presentations to let her or Katie know.
