BOX 758 GREELEY, CO 80632 January 31, 2023 Ms. Kathryn Grosscup, Manager Housing Tax Credit Colorado Housing and Finance Authority 1981 Blake Street Denver, CO 80202 Re: North Weld Village Project — High Plains Housing Development Corp. Dear Ms. Grosscup: The purpose of this letter is to provide support for High Plains Housing Development Corp (High Plains) in their application for federal low-income housing tax credits for the North Weld Village project in Greeley. Weld County supports this project, which proposes to provide 58 units of affordable housing for disabled residents of Greeley. One hundred percent (100%) of households served by this project will be earning at or below 30% AMI. In 2022, the Human Services Community Outreach team served 888 individuals who came to the Department on a walk-in basis requesting assistance with shelter, food, and medical/mental health care. An estimated 50% of these individuals were chronically homeless and demonstrating an urgent need for intensive support surrounding physical safety, cognitive delays, and significant mental/physical health concerns. The High Plains project supports this population to provide housing in combination with a variety of on -site supportive services. Please contact Jamie Ulrich, Director of Weld County Human Services, at 970-400-6510 if you have additional questions about Weld County's support for this project. Sincerely, BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Mike Freeman, Chair Co µ M u n ; C 0.1'10 el O2 /13/23 )L n 2023-0423 Hello
