A public hearing and final reading was completed on August 23, 2023, with no change being made to the text of said Ordinance, and on motion duly made and seconded, was adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado, that Section 3-3-30.6 of the Weld County Code be, and hereby is, repealed and reenacted, to read as follows. CHAPTER 3 HUMAN RESOURCES ARTICLE III - Standards of Conduct Amend Sec. 3-3-30. Workplace violence. A. — No change. B. All employees, including supervisors and temporary employees, should be treated with courtesy and respect at all times. Employees are expected to refrain from fighting, horseplay, physical and/or verbal intimidating, threatening or violent conduct, vandalism, sabotage, arson, use of weapons, open carrying or unpermitted concealed carrying of weapons onto County property, or any other conduct that may be dangerous to others. Firearms, weapons and other dangerous or hazardous devices or substances are prohibited from the premises of the County without proper authorization (such as a Concealed Handgun Permit issued by the Weld County Sheriff). Remainder of Section — No change. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board that the Clerk to the Board be, and hereby is, directed to arrange for Municode to supplement the Weld County Code with the amendments contained herein, to coincide with chapters, articles, divisions, sections, and subsections as they currently exist within said Code; and to resolve any inconsistencies regarding capitalization, grammar, and numbering or placement of chapters, articles, divisions, sections, and subsections in said Code. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board, if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held or decided to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof.
