Re: NFRMPO FY26/27 Call for Projects Letter of Support for Freedom Parkway
Dear Mayor Clark,
On behalf of the Weld County Board of County Commissioners, we are pleased to support the City of
Evans' North Front Range (NFR) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 and
2027 application for intersection improvements at 35`h Avenue and 37. Street.
While this intersection is solely located within the City of Evans, it is a feeder route for many county
subdivisions. Therefore, the creation of two dedicated northbound and southbound turn lanes on 35`5
Avenue, as well as a dedicated right turn lane for westbound traffic on 35"' Avenue is extremely beneficial
to the region.
Weld County supports improvements to Freedom Parkway and hopes the NFRMPO will see the highly
competitive value for this small community project. Thank you in advance for your support.
