A public hearing and final reading was completed on October 23, 2023, with no change being made to the text of said Ordinance, and on motion duly made and seconded, was adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado, that Chapter 3 Human Resources of the Weld County Code be, and hereby is, repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows. CHAPTER 3 HUMAN RESOURCES Amend Sec. 3-6-70. Holidays. A. Employees will be paid for the equivalent of eight (8) hours of Holiday Pay for each holiday recognized by the Board of County Commissioners through the procedure detailed below, with such Holiday Pay being prorated accordingly for part-time employees. All regular and part-time employees will receive paid holidays. Dates will be established annually and will be published by a resolution of the Board of County Commissioners. Recognized holidays may include the following: 1. New Year's Day. 2. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 3. Presidents Day. 4. Memorial Day. 5. Juneteenth (floating). 6. Fourth of July. 7. Colorado Day (floating). 8. Labor Day. 9. Columbus Day (floating). 10. Veterans Day. 11. Thanksgiving Day. 12. Christmas Day. Remainder of Section — No change. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board that the Clerk to the Board be, and hereby is, directed to arrange for Municode to supplement the Weld County Code with the amendments contained herein, to coincide with chapters, articles, divisions, sections, and subsections as they currently exist within said Code; and to resolve any inconsistencies regarding capitalization, grammar, and numbering or placement of chapters, articles, divisions, sections, and subsections in said Code. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board, if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held or decided to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof.
