RE: APPROVE REAPPOINTMENTS TO 911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE
AUTHORITY BOARD
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County,Colorado,and
WHEREAS,the terms for certain positions on the 911 Emergency Telephone Service
Authority Board will soon expire,and
WHEREAS,the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reappoint
Chief David Arnold to said board as the Law Enforcement County Appointee,with a term to expire
January 13,2026,and
WHEREAS,the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to affirm the
appointment of Lieutenant William Carnes to said board as the City of Fort Lupton Representative,
with a term from August 16,2022,through January 9,2024,and
WHEREAS,the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reappoint
Lieutenant William Carnes to said board as the City of Fort Lupton Representative,with a term to
expire January 13,2026.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that Chief David Arnold and Lieutenant William Carnes be,and hereby are,
reappointed to the 911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board,both with terms to expire
January 13,2026.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of December,A.D.,2023.
