RE: SHOW CAUSE HEARING, PCSC22-0003, TO SHOW WHETHER GOOD CAUSE EXISTS
FOR REVOCATION OF ZONING PERMIT FOR A HOME OCCUPATION CLASS II,
ZPHB16-0015 - SANTOS VEGA AND LUZ YADIRA VEGA
A public hearing was conducted on April 19, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Mike Freeman, Chair
Commissioner Perry L. Buck, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Scott K. James
Commissioner Kevin D. Ross
Commissioner Lori Saine
Also present:

Planning Services Department representative, Maxwell Nader
The following business was transacted:
A public Show Cause hearing, PCSC22-0003, was conducted October 26, 2022, to consider
revocation of Zoning Permit for a Home Occupation Class II, ZPHB16-0015, held by Santos Vega
and Luz Yadira Vega. At said hearing the Board moved to suspend the permit and continue the
matter to January 25, 2023, to allow the permittee additional time to bring the site into compliance.
At said hearing the Board moved to keep the suspension in place and continue the hearing to
April 19, 2023, to allow the permittee additional time to bring the site into compliance.
Bruce Barker, County Attorney, made this a matter of record.
IR Maxwell Nader, Department of Planning Services, relayed the permittee was unable to be
present due to unforeseen personal reasons, but requested to present the case to the Board, in
light of Staff's recommendation. With the Board's permission he presented a brief summary of the
previous violations and listed the items that had been removed from the site. Mr. Nader displayed
images from his site visit on April 17, 2023, and recommended lifting the suspension and
reinstatement of the Zoning Permit uses.
El No public testimony was offered regarding the matter.
In the matter of Show Cause hearing, PCSC22-0003, Commissioner Saine moved to lift the
suspension and reinstate Zoning Permit for. a Home Occupation Class II, ZPHB16-0015, held by
Santos Vega and Luz Yadira Vega, and dismiss the Show Cause hearing. The motion was
seconded by Commissioner Ross, and it carried unanimously. There being no further discussion,
the hearing was completed at 9:39 a.m.
