RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Highways has
requested permission to locate various gravel pit operations in Weld
County in connection with missile site roads, Project R-OM0036(2),
and
WHEREAS, all of said contemplated gravel pit operations
will be located in agricultural zones as set forth by the Planning Com-
mission of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, according to Section 3. 3(8) and Section 6. 1(3)
of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, gravel pit operations may be
authorized upon the approval of the Weld County Planning Commission
and the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Planning Commission has
recommended blanket approval be given the Colorado Department of
Highways for said gravel pit operations in connection with Project
R-OM0036(2).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Colorado
Department of Highways is hereby authorized to operate certain gravel
pits in Weld County in connection with Project R-OM0036(2); however,
subject to the following conditions
1. That contractor, prior to opening any pit, shall submit
location of pit, owner's name, and description of pit operation to the
Weld County Engineer, and shall submit plans of each gravel pit opera-
tion for approval by the Weld County Planning Commission.
2. That the operation and development of each gravel pit
shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations for the operation
of gravel pits as adopted by Weld County, Colorado.
