RE: APPROVE EMERGENCY BID #B2300012, SUVS SMALL 4 -DOOR 4X4 OR AWD
(QTY 3), AND WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND
INVESTIGATION - FACILITIES DEPARTMENT, DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN
RESOURCES, AND 19TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for Emergency Bid Request #B2300012, SUVs Small 4 -Door 4X4 or AWD (QTY 3), for the
Facilities Department, Department of Human Resources, and 19th Judicial District Attorney's
Office, due to the order window closing on Friday, February 17, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day
waiting period for said emergency bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #B2300012, SUVs
Small 4 -Door 4X4 or AWD (QTY 3), for the Facilities Department, Department of Human
Resources, and 19th Judicial District Attorney's Office, be, and hereby is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from Johnson Auto Plaza,
Inc., in the amount of $85,035.00, be, and hereby is, accepted on an emergency basis.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 15th day of February, A.D., 2023.

SUBJECT: #82300012 SUV 4 DOOR AWD - QTY 3
The Fleet Services Department has reviewed all bids that were received and
recommends awarding the bid to Johnson Auto Plaza Inc, as they are the lowest bidder that
meets all specifications. The bid is for Qty 3 - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox LS. The cost is $28,345.00
each for a total of $85,035.00. The order window for this purchase closes Friday February 17,
2023 so we are requesting emergency approval.
