To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in response to the requested Solar Energy Facility located south of and adjacent to CR 72;
east of and adjacent to CR 39. As neighboring landowners, we have several concerns:
1. This area borders our lake which has become a habitat for Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles,
Owls, Hawks, Turkeys, Ducks, Geese, Deer, Raccoon and other wildlife. Will this solar panel
project threaten their well-being?
2. Will they be able to control the weed problem in this area especially Canadian Thistle?
3. Are they eventually going to want to expand their solar panel project? We are concerned
because this area is becoming more populated with many newly built homes.
4. Will there be a need for additional electric transmission lines?
5. The Gale Lateral Easement should not be considered a primary access road.
6. How close to our property line can they erect a permanent structure? Will we be able to
maintain our property line, such as, burning weeds in the springtime of the year?
7. We realize they are considering this Green Project due to Federal tax write-offs. Do they have an
exit plan if these write-offs end, as is occurring elsewhere? In California, thousands of discarded
solar panels are creating a huge problem with toxic waste. Does Weld County have a plan to
deal with this issue?

To Weld County Commissioners and Department of Planning:
Our family owns property, including a residence, right across WCR 72 from the proposed solar
project.
On the south side of WCR 72 (northwest corner of the Janssen property) is a tree break that the
Janssens started several years ago. This tree break has served the area well. We request that
the tree break be restored and maintained as a condition of approval to provide a natural visual
break and habitat.
As growth has occurred in the area, WCR 72 has deteriorated due to increased traffic, both
residential and commercial. It is our understanding that plans are currently being developed to
upgrade the intersection of 39 and 72. The remainder of WCR 72 also needs surface
improvements and/or additional maintenance, particularly between roads 39 and 41.
Subject to these two issues, we support Janssens right to pursue this project and believe this
project will benefit Weld County and the community.

To Weld County Commissioners and Department of Planning:
We own property and live in our home directly across WCR 72 from the proposed solar project. Our
property will have the most direct impact from the proposed project.
Directly across from our property on the south side of WCR 72 is a line of trees between the road and
the property for the proposed solar project. This tree break is a pleasant view and natural barrier
between our property and the Janssen property. As a condition of approval, we request that this tree
break be restored to fully line the edge of the property and maintained as a natural visual barrier
between our home and the solar project.
The quality of WCR 72 between roads 39 and 41 has been consistently deteriorating over the past
several years. We have made prior reports to the county regarding the condition of this road as it is
causing excessive wear and tear on our vehicles. With this additional proposed solar development on
this stretch of road, attention needs given to improving and/or providing increased maintenance to this
section of county road. As a condition of approval, we request a plan and timeline for improving the
condition of WCR 72.
With agreement to address these two issues, we support Janssen's right to pursue this solar project.
Inclusion of these provisions in the solar project will benefit Weld County and our community.
