RE: APPROVE REASSIGNMENT AND APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF PUBLIC HEALTH
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, at a hearing held on the 16th day of May, 2022, the Board of Commissioners
deemed it advisable to appoint Tom Cope to the Board of Public Health as the At -Large
Representative, with a term to expire May 23, 2025, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Board of Public Health, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reassign
Tom Cope to said board from the At -Large Representative to the District 3 Representative, with
a term to expire May 23, 2025, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to appoint
Michael Wailes to said board as the At -Large Representative, with a term to expire May 23, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Tom Cope be, and hereby is, reassigned from the At -Large Representative
to the District 3 Representative on the Board of Public Health, with a term to expire May 23, 2025.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Michael Wailes be, and hereby is, appointed to the Board of Public Health as the
At -Large Representative, with a term to expire May 23, 2024.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 8th day of February, A.D., 2023.
