UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS DAY
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1, 2023
WHEREAS, the University Bulldogs pours team competed at the Class 3A state spirit
championships on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Denver Coliseum; and
WHEREAS, the Bulldogs, who finished as runner-up to Aspen last season, avenged that loss this
year, turning in a score of 84.75 to win the state championship; and
WHEREAS, their win speaks to the determination and athletic achievement of team members, as
well as the commitment of coaches and parents. It also showcases the mental toughness pours
requires in order to complete near -perfect routines; and
WHEREAS, the ability to stay focused and control nerves in a state -championship setting is
impressive and demonstrates many traits which will be an asset when facing challenges, as team
members aspire to be future leaders that their school, community and we, the commissioners, can
be proud of.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that the
1st day of March 2023, be known as University Bulldogs Day, and we join the team members,
coaches and parents in celebrating a championship season!
