HomeMy WebLinkAbout20230882.tiffRESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT, USR23-0004, FOR A DOGGIE DAYCARE AND BOARDING KENNEL LIMITED TO 45 DOGS OVER THE AGE OF SIX (6) MONTHS IN A SUBDIVISION IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - SHANNON KEMP WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 5th day of April, 2023, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing the application of Shannon Kemp, 11705 Montgomery Circle, Longmont, Colorado 80504, for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit, USR23-0004, for a Doggie Daycare and Boarding Kennel limited to 45 dogs over the age of six (6) months in a subdivision in the A (Agricultural) Zone District on the following described real estate, to -wit: Lot 3, Lake Meadows Subdivision; being part of Section 29, Township 3 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board heard all of the testimony and statements of those present and reviewed the request of the applicant for a continuance and, having been fully informed, finds that this request be approved, and the matter should be continued to June 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., to allow the case to be heard by the Planning Commission on May 2, 2023. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to June 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. cc, PL(TP/MN/Ko),CA(KK),!PPL., AM- REP. James 2023-0882 PL2864 MEMORANDUM TO: Planning Commissioners Board of county Commissioners DATE: April 5, 2023 FROM: Kim Ogle, Planning Services SUBJECT: Request for Continuance USR23-0004 The Department of Planning Services on behalf of SSJ Farms, LLC c/o Shannon Kemp are requesting a continuance of case number USR23-0004 for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit for Doggy Daycare and Boarding Kennel for up to forty-five (45) dogs in subdivisions in the A (Agricultural) Zone District as a result of the applicant's failure to meet the thirty (30) day Mineral Notice requirement prior to the scheduled March 7, 2023 Planning Commission hearing. Planning Services is requesting the case be scheduled for June 7, 2023. Hello
