RE: LOMA- 23012 - Weld County, North 1-25 Segment 5 Project - IIJA Local Match Program 2023
Dear Commissioner Freeman:
The Department of Local Affairs received your application for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
(IIJA) Local Match grant program (LOMA) funds.
In reviewing your application, the committee considered a variety of factors such as alignment with the
Governor's Policy Priorities, justification of need, projected equitable impacts, impact on workforce,
long-term community impact depth, shovel -ready status, and exceptional circumstances.
Unfortunately, the application was not approved for funding. The application review committee made the
decision based on the LOMA programs limited resources and unfortunately does not meet the criteria of
LOMA. The committee does not believe the need is there due to the required federal match having
already been met with other funds. LOMA has limited funds and the committee needs to prioritize funding
projects with substantial need.
