RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO REGIONAL
COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County,Colorado,and
WHEREAS,a vacancy currently exists and the terms for certain positions on the Regional
Communications Advisory Board will soon expire,and
WHEREAS,the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to appoint
Jason Edwards to said board as the Greeley Police Chief Representative,as a standing position,
and
WHEREAS,the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reappoint
Tom Nissen; Brent Newbanks, and Joe DeSalvo to said board, all with terms to expire
December 31,2026.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that Jason Edwards be,and hereby is,appointed as a standing position;and
Tom Nissen,Brent Newbanks,and Joe DeSalvo be,and hereby are,reappointed,to the Regional
Communications Advisory Board,all with terms to expire December 31,2026.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of December,A.D.,2023.
