Acreage Release Request Application (AR -1)
Partial Release of 1.95 Acres
Please be advised that on March 22, 2023, Varra Companies, Inc., whose address and telephone number are
12618 County Road 13, Longmont, CO 80504; (720) 272-2857, filed an application for a/an Acreage
Release Request (AR- 1) to M2009018, Heintzelman Project (Pit 116), which is located approximately 0
miles of Firestone, Section 32, Township 3N, Range 67W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Weld County.
This request for release of 1.95 acres within the Permit Area will provide consistency with modifications to
a subdivision plat. The intent is to increase the size and shape of an existing residential lot that is outside of
the permit boundary to accommodate the construction of a new home.
The application decision is scheduled for May 22, 2023. Written comments or objections to the application
may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Robert D. Zuber, P.E. at the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303)
866-3567 x 8113.
Comments or objections should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this notice to be considered in the
application review process. The Division is required to provide a thirty (30) day period following a decision
on the release application to allow for appeals to its decision.
