The release of project collateral and acceptance of warranty collateral was heard and approved by the Board of County Commissioners on December 18, 2023 . At this time we are just waiting for the Resolution to return from recording . However, you should not need to pay the premium for the old bond as it has been approved . The holidays slowed some things down but we are currently looking into whether or not we can speed anything up . Worst case , you and the insurance company should have something hard copy by the end of next week . Please let me know if you have additional questions . Dawn R. In regards to the bond for Lindsay Precast : • The bond is related to Land Planning Case SPR # 340 • I was expecting a reduction of the existing bond via a bond rider but Mr . Brennan stated that they may just need to replace the bond entirely, either way will work for us • Weld County accepts bonds obtained through the financial Institution or insurance company that is backing it and requires the Surety company executing the bond MUST appear on the Treasury Department' s most current list ( circular 570 as amended ) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Colorado . The Bond MUST be accompanied by the Attorney- in -fact authority from the Surety company certified to include the date of the bond . Bonds may not have expiration dates, must be auto - renewable unless the financial institution gives the County and the applicant 90 days notification with due time for applicant to secure collateral and submit new collateral to the County . • Weld County Requires the Original Bond . A PDF copy of the bond can be provided to me so I can begin processing the reduction , this just speeds of the administrative process .
