When replacement was undertaken the subgrade was determined to be unstable. It decided that a soils consultant should be contacted and a new recommendation for the paving of the parking lot be obtained prior to any additional work was done. CDS was contacted. The proposed cost for doing the soils investigation and preparing the paving recommendation is $1,700.00. The investigative work has been completed and the remediation recommendation have been received. The work on the parking lot is underway. Wernsman has provided the design services to repair the parking lot at the location of Department of Motor Vehicle the design of the drainage improvement and paving at the new Truck Wash located in the Weld County Service Center. The proposal includes the following services: Survey of existing site Horizontal plan of existing sidewalk and paving conditions. Proposed Horizontal plan for improving the slope conditions of the sidewalks and pavement. Pavement design Items that are not included in the proposal that could be required: Landscaping plan Pot -holing or locating of existing utilities. Soils report City of Greeley submittal or approval process. The proposed fee far the work outline above is $11,000.00. We have included in the price proposal $3,500.00 to obtain the surveying and the pavement design. The cost to review shop drawings and normal construction contract administration is included in this proposal as well as time to respond to question that might arise during the bidding process. A floor plan was developed that met the needs of the departments slated to move into the space was developed. The plans were sent to the furniture supplier in early May to determine if the plans would be compatible with the current Weld County standards for office and cubicles. The furniture designer revised the building layout to better accommodate the office and cubicle standards. We updated our plans and began to prepare specific plans for the use by the mechanical and electrical engineers. There was a time delay during the updating of the plans that allowed the Weld County Administration to reevaluate the scope of the project. An administrative reorganization occurred and the number staff members to be housed in the building was revised upward. The large hearing room was deleted from the scope and the Planning Department reception area has been relocated to the space in the center of the building. The type of spaces that will be provided for the staff members of the Planning and Oil and Gas Departments changed from a combination of cubicles and office nearly all offices. The changes require that a portion of the completed work be redone to accommodate the new space arrangement. The developing of the new floor plan and amending previously completed detailed drawings are estimated to take 25 hours of architect time and 32 hours of designer time.
