Box 758 Weld County Courthouse Greeley, Colorado 80631 Attention Mr. Barton Buss Subject: Weld County Services Complex Greeley, Colorado Serial Letter No. 4 Gentlemen: At 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 1974, proposals for Bid Package No. 1 for the Weld County Services Complex were received and opened. Item A of Bid Package No. 1 included site clearing and building mass excavation work. We have com- pleted our analysis of the proposals received for site clearing and building mass excavation work. The results of these proposals are as follows: 1. Dick's Excavating - $37,000.00 2. Hensel Phelps Construction Co. - $58,858.00 3. LeRoy's Excavating - $60,676.00 4. Rocky Mountain Constructors - $84,900.00 You will note that the low proposal was submitted by Dick's Excavating. We have examined all proposals and find them in order. Therefore we are recommending the low proposal as submitted by Dick's Excavating be accepted. Upon approval by the Board of Weld County Commissioners, we will issue a letter of intent to Dick's Excavating. We have sixty (60) days from the receipt of the pro- posal to issue a notice to proceed and a formal contract for the work. Our recom- mendation is to proceed immediately to issue a letter of intent to Dick's Excavating. We are enclosing for your records and information a copy of our proposal summary sheet and a copy of all proposals received for this bid item.
