WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD
APRIL 1-7, 2023
WHEREAS, United Way of Weld County and Weld County's Early Childhood Council along
with community partners are celebrating the Week of the Young Child, April 1-7, 2023;
and
WHEREAS, we are all promoting and inspiring high -quality early childhood experiences
for our youngest citizens as a foundation of learning and success for children in Weld
County; and
WHEREAS, teachers, child care providers, nonprofits, and all those who work with or on
behalf of young children birth through age eight and who make a difference in the lives
of young children in Weld County deserve thanks and recognition; and
WHEREAS, public policies that support early learning opportunities for all young children
are crucial to all children in Weld County being valued, healthy, and thriving.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners,
that April 1-7, 2023 be known as the Week of the Young Child in Weld County and
encourages all citizens to work to make a meaningful investment in the lives of children
in Weld County and across Colorado.
