RTAP funding to hire a consultant to conduct a property appraisal of a Railroad Right of Way,resource inventory, and develop a conceptual design of the transit route from downtown Kersey to Evans via the Freedom Parkway will be a benefit to Weld County residents by eventually creating a multimodal transportation corridor between Evans and downtown Kersey.Additionally, the Weld County Board of County Commissioners is in support of this project as the development of this multimodal corridor will allow businesses to grow, workforce to expand, and will diversify the local economy, which will advance economic development in this rural region. We believe funding for this project will have regional benefits and impacts and we will continue to support the project and the Town of Kersey's grant application.
