The Weld County Board of Health met on January 24, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing
room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Tom Cope, Doug Printz, Fred Hepner, Jeff Reck, Linda Kautz, Lonnie Ford and
Anthony Gallardo.
Others: Lauren Light and Katie Sall from Environmental Health and Elizabeth McEvoy and Cindy
Kronauge gave a presentation on the "Health Indicators".
AMEND AGENDA
We made changes to the agenda to elect the 2023 chair and Vice Chair. Jeff Reck will continue to be
the Chair and Fred Hepner will be the Vice Chair. It was approved by Doug Printz and second by
Tom Cope and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:02 AM. A motion was made by Linda to approve the amended
agenda. Doug Printz seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the November 22, 2022, meeting. A motion was made to approve
by Fred Hepner and Tom Cope seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.

Biosolids Renewal:
Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 5 biosolid renewal applications. No public
comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.
DS -200726, DS -1800010, DS -1900001, DS -1900002, and DS -1900003.
A motion was made by Fred Hepner to approval the renewals. Tom Cope seconded the motion and
the motion was carried unanimously.
Presentations:
Elizabeth McEvoy — Health Data Specialist II- "Health Indicators"
We have 11 key health indicators. They are death, healthy lifestyle, chronic disease,
preventative health care, maternal & infant health, communicable disease, sexual &
reproductive health, mental health, substance use, housing & population growth and
determinant of health.
Information on indicators, metrics and data sources can be found on our web site.
Staff Discussion:
We have hired Jason Chessher for our new EH Director position. Jason will start on February 20,
2023. We welcomed new member Lonnie Ford to the Board of Health.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:25 am. Next meeting is February 28, 2023.
