Buck, Pro-Tem Commissioner Scott K. James - EXCUSED Commissioner Kevin D. Ross Commissioner Lori Saine Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Jan Warwick Assistant County Attorney, Karin McDougal Planning Services Department representative, Maxwell Nader Health Department representative, Lauren Light The following business was transacted: El I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated January 25, 2023, and duly published January 27, 2023, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Janssen Farms, LLC, do SunShare, LLC, dba Grizzly Solar, LLC, for a Zoning Permit, ZPSF22-0004, for a Solar Energy Facility (3.51 acres) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Karin McDougal, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Maxwell Nader, Department of Planning Services, explained the Zoning Permit was denied in accordance with Weld County Code Section 23-4-470.B, and the applicant appealed the decision, as is their right to do, under Code Section 23-4-475.C. He stated the applicant is requesting a continuance to allow them adequate time to incorporate new information they recently received. El Beau Scott, SunShare, LLC, represented the applicant and reiterated the request for a continuance. Leon Cozzens, surrounding property owner, expressed concerns with the proposal and in response to Chair Freeman, stated he supported the continuance. Regarding Mr. Cozzen's concern about nesting eagles, Chair Freeman explained Mr. Nader will address that issue in his presentation, at the hearing. . Mr. Scott agreed to March 1, 2023, for the continuance date. Commissioner Buck moved to continue the request of Janssen Farms, LLC, c/o SunShare, LLC, dba Grizzly Solar, LLC, for a Zoning Permit, ZPSF22-0004, for a Solar Energy Facility cc: F.L. (TP/MN/QA). 03/19 /23 2023-0420 PL2858 HEARING CERTIFICATION - JANSSEN FARMS, LLC, C/O SUNSHARE, LLC, DBA GRIZZLY SOLAR, LLC (ZPSF22-0004) PAGE 2 (3.51 acres) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, to March 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Ross, and it carried unanimously. There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:06 a.m. This Certification was approved on the 27th day of February, 2023.
