Weld County Council Appoints District 1 Councilmember
Greeley, CO — Trent Leisy of Windsor was appointed District 1 County Councilmember at the regular
March meeting of the Weld County Council.
Leisy and three other candidates were interviewed during the public meeting. Each candidate was
interviewed individually and given 20 minutes to answer the same eight questions from the County
Council.
Mr. Leisy fills the vacancy left by Councilmember Rupert Parchment who resigned. Mr. Leisy's term will
end on 12/31/2024.
Mr. Leisy is the owner/operator of FyreFox Media LLC in Windsor. He is also the owner/operator of
Northern Colorado Seeds LLC of Windsor. He is a graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins
where he studied political science and history.
He has been a club leader for the Harmony Hustler's 4-H club where he lead fundraiser and social events
and volunteered with youth and parents on individual projects. He also served as secretary for the District
4 Board of Education
"As a driven, industrious, and strong professional, I firmly believe that my contributions to the Weld
County Council District 1 seat will create a positive impact in the County Council's mission," Mr. Leisy
said. "I believe my background has prepared me to bring continued success to this position."
The Council is a non-partisan, unpaid, elected body that has specific enumerated duties set forth in the
Weld County Charter.
