RE:LOMA-23013-Weld County,Safe Streets and Roads For All(SS4A)-IIJA Local Match Program 2023
Dear Commissioner Freeman:
The Department of Local Affairs received your application for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
(IIJA)Local Match grant program(LOMA)funds.
In reviewing your application,the committee considered a variety of factors such as alignment with the
Governor's Policy Priorities,justification of need,projected equitable impacts,impact on workforce,
long-term community impact depth,shovel-ready status,and exceptional circumstances.
Unfortunately,the application was not approved for funding.The application review committee made the
decision based on the LOMA programs limited resources and unfortunately this project does not meet the
criteria of LOMA.The committee also considered that the project touches just 8%of the county's 30%
disadvantaged population.LOMA has limited funds and the committee needs to prioritize funding projects
with substantial need.

Hi Elizabeth,
I talked to my supervisor.Can we compromise?She said that although on a high level it is a minor change it will cause
some issues with our system and tracking.Could we add SS4A in the grant portal so that if you need to login and retrieve
anything you see SS4A so you know that's the project?Then we would not change the letter but you can certainly retitle
it when you save it for your own records.If we change the letter we'd also have to send it back through memo and get
approvals and a new signature.
This actually helps me alot.Again I apologize for not naming it correctly originally.We will look at adding that direct
question to the application since I don't know much about projects but I perform the administrative side and we might
as well directly ask the name of the project instead of having to infer.

High Plains Boulevard with SS4A.Q I don't think the body content needs to change since it is a standard form letter.

Hi all,
Yes this is the decision for the SS4A application.When an application comes in I try to
decipher what to name a project in the portal.I apologize that was not the correct
name to assign the application.I read a reference to partnering on High Plains
Boulevard and my initial thought process was to distinguish between the 2 applications
from Weld that were in the portal.The application corresponding to this is attached to
confirm it is the correct application.I'm sorry for the confusion.
