HomeMy WebLinkAbout20232940.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT #1 TO LEASE AGREEMENT FOR SATELLITE OFFICE SPACE FOR STATE EMPLOYEES OF DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION (DVR) AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN AND SUBMIT ELECTRONICALLY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Amendment #1 to the Lease Agreement for Satellite Office Space for State Employees of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, commencing upon full execution of signatures, and ending June 30, 2026, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. DVR is agreeable to this move and has issued Amendment #1 to the original Lease Agreement known to the board as Tyler ID# 2023-0660. No other terms have changed. What options exist for the Board? Approval of the Office Space Lease Amendment #1 with the DVR acting through Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). Deny approval of the Office Space Lease Amendment #1 with the DVR acting through CDLE. Consequences: Amendment #1 would not be executed. Impacts: DVR employees would not move to the new office space and ESWC program units would not remain together. Costs (Current Fiscal Year / Ongoing or Subsequent Fiscal Years): No funding changes from original Lease Agreement.
