EXTENSION OF PLATTE VALLEY
PEST CONTROL DISTRICT
ADDITION OF LEAFY SPURGE AS A
NOXIOUS WEED FOR EXTERMINATION
EXPIRES DECEMBER 31, 19771
WHEREAS, the Platte Valley Pest Control District,
was originally established by resolution dated March 13, 1968
for a period ending December 31, 1972.
WHEREAS, by ballot vote, as required by law, the
landowners requested the continuation of said Pest Control
District for an additional five-year period; and
WHEREAS, the land owners of Platte Valley Pest
Control District have requested by tallot the establishment of
the eradication of Leafy Spruge in addition to Canada Thistle
and Bindweed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County that the Platte Valley
Pest Control District be and is hereby extended for an additional
five-year period ending December 31, 1977.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Leafy Spurge be added
as a noxious weed to be exterminated in said district.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote/

Dear Sirs:
The ballots for voting on the extension of the Platte Valley
Pest Control District until December3l, 1977 totaled 409 in
favor and 90 opposed.
The ballot for adding Leafy Spurge to the Weeds to be
controlled in the Platte Valley Pest Control District
it O0 was 384 in favor and 87 opposed.
The counting board finds the above ballot to be true and
accurate.
