Home My WebLink About740349.tiff r r RESOLUTION WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 25, 1974, in the chambers of the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, for the purpose of hearing the petition of Gordon E. Lacy, Route 1, Box 4, Ault, Colorado, requesting approval to locate a commercial egg production operation on the following described property, to-wit: Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Section 24, Township 8 North, Range 66 West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado; thence North along the East line of Section 24, a distance of 2, 250' to a point which is the true point of beginning; thence continuing North along the East line of said line of said Section 24, a distance of 1, 200' to a point; thence West and parallel to the South line of said Section 24, a distance of 1, 980' to a point on the Pierce Ditch Lateral; thence Southwesterly along the Pierce Ditch Lateral a distance of 1, 250' to a point; thence East and parallel to the South line of said Section 24, a distance of 2, 050' to the true point of beginning, containing 60 acres, more or less, and, WHEREAS, the petitioner was present, and WHEREAS, there was no opposition to the request of petitioner for the location of a commercial egg production operation, and WHEREAS, according to Section 3. 3(3) (c) of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, said request to locate a commercial egg production operation may be authorized upon the approval of the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all the testimony and statements of those present; has studied the request of the petitioner and studied the receommendations of the Weld County Planning Commission, and having been fully informed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that the application of Gordon E. That any water and sanitation facilities to be Installed shall be approved by the State Health Department. 2. There was a change in the law at the beginning of the year which changed procedures that a fire district has to go through . However , our attorney has informed us that the application is acceptable under the old law . Their plan of operation , however , does not comply with the State requirements under Section 89 , and it was our job ( Planning Commission ) to take each and every item stated qnder the law and give it serious con- sideration . It was recommended to table any action until the full information satisfying the State Law has been presented . HWY.85 a a' AULT, COLORADO ) November 10, 1973 Mr. Gordon Lacy Highland Egg Ranch Ault, CO Dear Gordon: We have checked our records for information concerning your well located two miles east of Pierce. Our records do not contain the detail we had hoped for. However, they do give a fairly accurate picture of the original design and pumping capability. The well, located in the SE4 of the SE4 of Section 24, Township 8 North, Range 66 West, was originally drilled in 1943 to a maximum depth of 400 feet with a bailed pumping capacity of 16 gallons per minute from 310 feet. The maximum yield and other important data are missing from our records. The original intended usage of this well was for watering livestock with an anticipated need of from 3 to 5 gallons per minute. If any further information is needed, please advise.
