Gentlemen:
The Greeley-Weld County League of Women Voters recently '
completed a study of the financing and administration of
the Weld Mental Health Center. The members participating
in the consensus felt that the Center should be funded on
an increasingly local basis, especially since federal
funding will be cut in October of 1975.
We feel that the governments where the facilities are
located should increase their support. Therefore, we
would like to see Dr. Richard Cripe' s request to the
Board of County Commissioners for an increase of county
funding to the Weld Mental Health Center be given high
priority.
We are especially pleased to hear Mr. Harry Ashley has
accepted an appointment to the Mental Health Board.
This will provide a strong relationship between the
county government and the Mental Health Center.
