a. PETITIOB FOR OPENING ROAD.
• We, the undersigned, residents of ,'field County, Colorado ,
- living near the new town of VOLLMAR , hereby earnestly
L--.____ __ _ recommend_to the County Commissioners of Geld County that a
road be cut through East of the' Town of VOLL1AR, connecting
with Clay Street, the tiain street of the new town, as per
• the. formal petition already mile by THE DENVER LARAMIE
. REALTY CC:.IP?_EY !or the oneninc of this road. We consider
it very essential to the farmers living around this towh
to have this road cut through so as to give us a means of
taking advantage of the shippin_ facilities, the beet dump and the
different store; in the town, which ; e expect to patronize:

THIS DEED, Made this 7th day of May, A. D. 1914, by and
between THE LUPTON MEADOWS LAND COMPANY, a corporation or-
ganized under the laws of the State of Colorado, party of
the first part, and the County of Weld, a municipal subdivision
of the State of Colorado , of the second part:
WITNESSETH, That the party of the first part, for and in
consideration of the acceptance of this deed, and the devotion
of the premises hereafter described for a public road, and the
maintenance thereof forever, does hereby remise , release, sell
and quit claim unto the party of the second part forever, a
strip of land thirty 130) feet on either side of a line be-
ginning at a point which is 1305.6 feet north of the Southeast
corner of Section thirteen (13) , Township Two (2) North, Range
Sixty-seven (67 ) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence
running West in a straight line to the right of way of The
Denver, Laramie and Northwestern Railway Company.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same for the purposes aforesaid,
unto the said. County of Weld. , and its successors forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the party of the first part hath caused
its corporate name to be hereunto subscribed by its second Vice
President , and its corporate seal to be hereunto affixed, attested
by its Secretary, the day and year first above written.

said City and County, in the State aforesaid, do hereby
certify that Arthur Ponsford to me known and known to me
to be the Second Vice-President of THS LUPTON MEADOWS LAND
COMPANY, a corporation, who executed the foregoing deed as
such Second Vice-President of said corporation, and acknow-
ledged to me that he so executed the same as and for his free
and voluntary act and deed, and as and for the free and vol-
untary act and deed of said corporation; and that the seal
thereto affixed purporting to be the seal of said corporation
is in fact the oommon and corporate seal thereof, and that said
instrument was so affixed by authority of the Board of Directors
