CHILD SUPPORT AWARENESS MONTH
AUGUST 2025
WHEREAS, every child has the right to a life where their fundamental needs are met.
Children are the most valuable asset to our community, and by ensuring they have the
support they need; we build a foundation for a brighter, more promising future for
everyone; and
WHEREAS, supporting our children's well-being to allow them to grow into healthy,
fulfilled, and contributing members of society is one of the most vital duties held by
parents; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Division of Child Support Services demonstrates its ongoing
dedication to enhancing .family engagement, providing accessible support, offering
innovative services, collaborating with local partners to boost economic stability, and
ensuring compliance of child support payments, resulting in $24 million processed by the
Family Support Registry in 2024; and
WHEREAS, Weld County recognizes and appreciates the commitment of the child
support professionals, court clerks, attorneys, magistrates and judges who work to
establish and uphold child support orders, facilitating the support of children.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Weld County Board of Commissioners that
August 2025 be known as Child Support Awareness Month. We invite all residents to take
part in recognizing this important observance, honoring the parents and caregivers who
play a vital role in supporting the children of our community.
