Approve Regulating, Warning, and Guiding Traffic During Temporary Closure of
County Road 4 Between County Roads 13 and 15 for Approximately Ten (10) Days,
for Maintenance of 16 -Inch High Pressure Natural Gas Pipeline
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, pursuant to C.R.S. §42-4-106(6)(a), "...local authorities, with their respective
jurisdiction may, for the purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close
to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof for a period not
to exceed a specified number of work days for project completion and shall, in conjunction
with any such road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative
routing of the traffic affected...", and
Whereas, pursuant to said Statute and upon the basis of traffic and personnel
investigations, the Board has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary
to temporarily close County Road 4, between County Roads 13 and 15, to through traffic
and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic by posting signs thereon, with said
closure being effective September 2, 2025, for approximately ten (10) days for
maintenance of a 16 -inch high pressure natural gas pipeline.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn, and guide vehicular traffic on County
Roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn, and/or
guide traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices
shall conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Be it further resolved that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that County Road 4, between County Roads 13
and 15, be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective September 2, 2025, for
approximately ten (10) days for maintenance of a 16 -inch high pressure natural gas
pipeline, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said
closure giving notice of the restrictions.

and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 27th day of August, A.D., 2025:
