The Weld County Board of Health met on April 22, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing
room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft
Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Tom Cope, Doug Printz, Aron Lam, Lonnie Ford, Linda Kautz, Bree Lukens, and Jeff
Reck.
Others: Katie Sall and Lauren Light from Environmental Health, Weld County Department of Public
Health and environment.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM. Agenda amended to select Board Chair and Co -Chair
since current Board Chair term is due. A motion was made by Tom Cope to nominate Linda Kautz as
Chair and Bree Lukens as Co -Chair. Doug Printz seconded the motion, and the motion was carried
unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the March 25, 2025, meeting. A motion was made to approve
by Bree Lukens, Tom Cope seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT: No report given.
Biosolids Renewal:
Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 7 biosolid renewal applications.
No public comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.

A motion was made by Tom Cope to approval the renewals. Lonnie Ford seconded the motion, and
the motion was carried unanimously.
PRESENTATIONS: Shawn C May, MPH, Public Health Services Director, Weld County Department of
Public Health and Environment presented updates on the Medical Van.
Public health mobile unit is designated to serve as a mobile extension of our public health clinics,
increasing access to preventative care, health education and outreach for populations that might
otherwise go without.
We serve Weld County by cultivating partnerships to promote public health and environmental quality
through the delivery of relevant, innovative, and cost-effective services.
There is no cost to request or host the mobile unit. While some services may bill insurance, it is not
required.
Services that we can offer in the medical mobile van include:
For children: Routine and recommended vaccines, including bur not limited to Meningitis, tdap, and HPV
For Adults: Vaccines (for adults) tdap and seasonal illnesses like COVID-19, Influenza (Flu), respiratory
syncytial virus (RSV) — all vaccines are subject to availability
We can measure blood pressure and body mass index, blood test measures for prediabetes and diabetes
screening. Blood Lead level testing in children.
Other services provided are STI and Narcan/naloxone education and distribution, we provide training on
recognizing opioid overdose signs and administering Naloxone — an overdose reversal drug),
Staff Discussion:
Board members got to tour the medical van after meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:27 am. Next meeting is May 27, 2025.
