Approve Vacation, VAC24-0027, of Special Use Permit, SUP -62 — Anadarko E&P

Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, by Resolution dated July 15, 1970, the Board approved Special Use Permit,
SUP -62, for expansion of a turkey operation in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, for
Bob Hart on the following described real estate, to -wit:
SW1/4 of Section 23, Township 2 North,
Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
Whereas, the Department of Planning Services staff recommended the vacation of
Special Use Permit, SUP -62, to satisfy Condition of Approval #1.E for USR17-0046, and
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and statements
of those present, studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of the
Department of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in
this matter and, having been fully informed, deems it advisable to approve said vacation.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Special Use Permit, SUP -62, be, and hereby is, vacated.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, adopted the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 15th day of January, A.D., 2025:

NARRATIVE: On February 21, 2018, USR17-0046 was approved by the Board of County Commissioners
and Conditions of Approval 1.E. stated:
1.E. The applicant shall submit a written request to vacate SUP -62. SUP -62 shall be
vacated by the Board of County Commissioners.
In order to address this Condition of Approval the applicant submitted a letter to the Department of Planning
Services received a request, dated December 10, 2024, to vacate SUP -62. SUP -62 was approved by the
Board of County Commissioners on July 15, 1970, however, no map was recorded. SUP -62 was approved
for a turkey farm that is no longer operating.
The Department of Planning Services is recommending approval of this vacation.
