Home My WebLink About20252843.tiffResolution Approve Amendment #1 to Memorandum of Understanding for One -Stop Operator Service Delivery Agreements Pursuant to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for, Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) Program and Authorize Chair and Workforce Development Board to Sign Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and Whereas, the Board has been presented with Amendment #1 to the Memorandum of Understanding for One -Stop Operator Service Delivery Agreements Pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, commencing October 1, 2025, and ending October 25, 2026, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and Whereas, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Amendment #1 to the Memorandum of Understanding for One -Stop Operator Service Delivery Agreements Pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, be, and hereby is, approved. Be it further resolved by the Board that the Chair and Lisa Vaughn, Workforce Development Board, be, and hereby are, authorized to sign said amendment. The Department is now requesting approval of Amendment #1 to revise the MOU term to end on October 25, 2026. This revision is a result of a CDLE monitoring in which it was determined that the MOU exceeded a maximum term of three (3) years. WHEREAS the parties entered into an Agreement for One -Stop Partner Services, (the "Original Agreement") identified by the Weld County Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners as document No. 2023-2938, approved on October 25, 2023. WHEREAS the parties hereby agree to amend the term of the Original Agreement in accordance with the terms of the Original Agreement and any previously adopted amendment, which is incorporated by reference herein, as well as the terms provided herein. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and agree as follows: • The Original Agreement will end on December 31, 2026. • This Amendment, together with the Original Agreement, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. The following additional changes are hereby made to the current Agreement as of October 1, 2025: 1. I. TERM The Parties' performance under this MOU shall commence on the later of (a) October 1, 2023, or (b) the date this MOU becomes fully executed (the 'Effective Date'). This MOU shall remain in effect until October 25, 2026, unless previously terminated or updated by one of the Parties pursuant to the terms of this MOU. • All other terms and conditions of the Original Agreement remain unchanged.
