HomeMy WebLinkAbout730039.tiff RESOLUTION RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC ON COUNTY ROADS AND AT COUNTY ROAD INTERSECTIONS IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO. WHEREAS, a multitude of complaints have been made to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that drivers of motor vehicles habitually drive on County Roads and through County road intersections without regard for the general safety of drivers of other motor vehicles, and WHEREAS, pursuant to 1963 Colorado Revised Statutes, 13-5-69 (1), as amended, local authorities, with reference to streets or highways under their jurisdiction, are authorized to designate through streets or highways and erect stop signs at specified entrances thereto, and WHEREAS, said Board, pursuant to such complaints, has deter- mined upon the basis of traffic and personal investigations that condi- tions exist which make it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehi- cular traffic on County roads by posting signs thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Board deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide traffic on County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the safety of the gen- eral public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the State Manual and specifications. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish the following not to be through streets or highways for the named portions of County roads which shall become effective when standard stop signs are erected at the entrances thereto: 1. County Road No. 35i (North 25th Avenue) where it intersects with County Road No. 624 (F Street) and with C Street Northwest, and 2. County Road No. 62/ (F Street) 4actWhere it intersects with County Road No. 35l (North 25th Avenue) and with C Street Northwest, and 3. C Street Northwest .iati-where it intersects with County Road No. 35:1- (North 25th Avenue) and with County Road No. 62/ (F Street), all as shown on plat as submitted by the County Traffic Engineer and made a part hereof by reference. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 6-thday of April, A. D. , 1973. TRAF'F'IC : Very Heavy, Heavy truck traffic from Greeley Sand s Gravel , and Flat Iron Paving Company. TRAFFIC COUNT : 42 vehicles per hour. 1008 ve'.1i-cles per 24 hoyrs, 7056 vehicles in 7 days. ACTION TAKEN: All above streets have been mae a full STOP at this intersection . This makes a three way STOP . This has been properly signed in accordance with existing Rules and regulations.
