A public hearing was conducted on July 7, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present: Commissioner Perry L. Buck, Chair Commissioner Scott K. James, Pro-Tem Commissioner Jason S. Maxey Commissioner Lynette Peppler Commissioner Kevin D. Ross — Excused Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Houstan Aragon County Attorney, Bruce Barker Assistant County Attorney, Matthew Conroy The following business was transacted: e I hereby certify that pursuant to a Notice posted June 26, 2025, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Allegiance Ranch and Equine Rescue, Inc., for a Special Event Permit at 3448 County Road 4, Erie, Colorado 80516. (Clerk's Note: an application for Limited Event Permit, LEP25-0001, from Daniel and Gloria Timmons was simultaneously considered with this item, reference Docket #2025-53.) IR Matthew Conroy, Assistant County Attorney, stated the application is for a reoccurring event since 2019, there were no concerns presented throughout the referral period, and staff recommends approval. He referenced the noise standard discussion held while considering the related application for Limited Event Permit, LEP25-0001, (See Hearing Certificate #2025-53) and explained Section 14-9-60.K of the Weld County Code does allow a noise exemption for a temporary assemblage. le No public testimony was offered concerning this matter. la Commissioner James moved to approve the request of Allegiance Ranch and Equine Rescue, Inc., for a Special Event Permit at 3448 County Road 4, Erie, Colorado 80516, based on the recommendations of staff. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Maxey and it carried unanimously. There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 9:26 a.m. cc.
