Carlson, Route 1, Box 30, Eaton, Colorado 80615, requesting permission to locate a cattle feedlot operation on the following described property, to-wit: All that part of the North Half (ND of Section One (1), Township Six (6) North, Range Sixty five (65) West of the Sixth P. M. , Weld County, Colorado, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Section 1; thence in an easterly direction along the North Section line of said Section, 1544 feet to dividing lateral; thence along said dividing lateral on the following courses: South 45° 17' East, 206 feet; thence South 38° 33' East, 349 feet; thence South 27° 04' East, 88 feet; thence South 14° 40' East, 112 feet; thence South 49° 21' East, 205 feet; thence South 41° 18' East, 493 feet; thence South 62° 25' East, 180 feet; thence South 75° 17' East 178 feet; thence South 51° 18' East, 202 feet; thence South 24° 00' East, 200 feet; thence South 32° 43' East, 266 feet; thence South 25° 00' East, 124 feet; thence South 36° 08' East, 296 feet; thence South 49° 04' East, 162 feet; thence South 29° 00' East, 232 feet; thence South 20° 46' East, 117 feet; thence South 35° 29' East, 198 feet to an iron pipe on the East bank of dividing lateral and on the East and West a section line; thence in a westerly direction along said z section line 3734 feet to the West a corner of said section; thence in a northerly direction along the West section line of said Section 2645 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, and, WHEREAS, the petitioner was present, and WHEREAS, there was no opposition to the request of petitioner for the location of said cattle feedlot operation, and WHEREAS, the said requested cattle feedlot operation is located in an agricultural zone as set forth by the Weld County Zoning Resolution, and WHEREAS, according to Section 3. 3(3)(c) of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, said cattle feedlot operation may be authorized upon the approval of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and PL0741 730550 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all the testimony and statements of those present; has studied the recommend- ations of the Weld County Planning Commission, and having been fully informed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that the application of John C. Carlson, Route 1, Box 30, Eaton, Colorado 80615, for location of a cattle feedlot operation on the premises indicated above be, and it hereby is granted under the conditions following: 1. That any water and sanitation facilities to be installed shall be approved by the State Health Department. 2. That petitioner shall proceed with due diligence to effect said cattle feedlot operation and shall have up to one year from date hereof to begin construction of same. 3. That petitioner shall construct a sealed lagoon as pro- posed of not less than 2 acres in size. 4. That when said cattle feedlot operation is completed same shall be limited to pen size (374, 400 sq. ft. ) as indicated on plans as submitted. 5. All applicable subdivision regulations and zoning regulations shall be followed and complied with in accordance with the Zoning Resolutions of Weld County, Colorado. 4 Dated this 6 day of June, A. Evaluation is to determine, the suitability of the area for a cattle feedlot. The soils in thia area are deep, well drained, medium textured soils with gently sloping to sloping topography. The area is not subject to flooding but surface runoff is to the east into a natural drainage- way. Any runoff from the corrals should be diverted away from this drainicgeway.
