A state championship itself speaks to the team's success, but individual ability and leadership was on display as well and was recognized by the Colorado High School Athletics Association. Two Windsor team members — Kylie Lichtenberg and Maddison Mummery — were named First Team All -State. Windsor coach Samantha Murray was named 4A Coach of the Year; and WHEREAS, athletic excellence is far from the only takeaway this season. Bonds were formed among teammates as they strove to claim Windsor's first ever all -girl cheer state championship. As future cheer teams try to win their own state titles, they will build on a legacy started by this cheer team. Being the first to be called champions is special and reflective of the effort and talent put forth by team members, coaches and parents to make this season special. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that the 26th day of February 2025, be known as Windsor Wizards Day. It's with immense pride that we celebrate the state champion varsity cheer team and the work it took to achieve such a feat. BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ear L. Buck, Chair Jason S.
