Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 The Honorable Gabe Evans 1229 Longworth House Office Building Washington, DC 20515 Dear Congressman Evans, I am writing on behalf of the Weld County Board of Commissioners to express our support for Community Project Funding for the Taxiway Bravo and Echo (B&E) Complex Stage II construction at the Greeley -Weld County Airport. Design of the complex has been completed allowing for shovel ready construction stages. Construction of the first stage of the project, funded locally by the City of Greeley and Weld County, is scheduled to begin in May 2025. The Airport is now requesting funding to move forward with Stage II construction. Greeley -Weld County Airport (GXY) is a vital regional airport supporting Greeley, Weld County, and the State of Colorado. According to the 2025 Colorado Aviation Economic Impact Study, the airport generates $154 million in annual business revenues, supports 1,067 jobs, and contributes $88.1 million in value added economic impact. The airport provides critical services such as flight training, business aviation, emergency response, agricultural aerial operations, and global aircraft maintenance, while offering a less congested alternative to the Denver metro airports. This project will enhance operational flexibility by providing alternative access to both primary runways (17/35 and 10/28), allowing aircraft to move between airfield surfaces more effectively improving airfield safety and efficiency. It will also be essential for maintaining uninterrupted operations during future runway and taxiway rehabilitation projects. The area adjacent to the project will be opened to new areas for hangar and business development, helping address the shortage of hangar space across the front range, and supporting the airport's efforts to attract aeronautical users and increase employment in the region. The Greeley -Weld Airport is requesting $3,500,000 in Fiscal Year 2026 funding to begin Stage II construction, specifically building the Taxiway Bravo extension, Bravo 1 connector, and the connection to Taxiway Echo. This investment will create immediate construction jobs, expand business opportunities, and lay the foundation for sustainable economic and aeronautical growth at the airport. The Weld County Board of Commissioners supports this request from the Greeley -Weld Airport and respectfully urges you to award Greeley this request. Sincerely, 5 K Perry L. 6bck Chair, Weld County Board of Commissioners C 9 MM U n: Ca.+ ; o n S 2025-1198 O5 /I 3.1.25 Hello
