The Weld County Board of Health met on June 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing
room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft
Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Tom Cope, Lonnie Ford, Michael Wailes, Linda Kautz, and Bree Lukens.
Others: Katie Sall, Alex Clemments, and Nick Trautner from Environmental Health, Weld County
Department of Public Health and environment.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM. A motion was made by Tom Cope to approve the
agenda. Lonnie Ford seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the April 22, 2025, meeting. A motion was made to approve by
Lonnie Ford, Tom Cope seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT: No report given.
Biosolids Renewal:
Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 16 biosolid renewal applications.
No public comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.

A motion was made by Bree Lukens to approval the renewals. Tom Cope seconded the motion, and
the motion was carried unanimously.
PRESENTATIONS: No presentations.
Staff Discussion:
Katie Sal notified BOH members that septage application SS -2500001 was withdrawn by property
owner, she will require additional documentation if they decide to continue with application
because they did apply septage without a permit.
Tom Cope was re -appointed, and Joyce Smock is our new appointed member, we still have a vacant
for district 2.
Linda Kautz mentioned that a presentation about Carbon Dioxide/Injection Wells would be
interesting to hear about.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:10 am. Next meeting is July 22, 2025.
