Application for Special Event Permit — Wish Ride of Colorado, fbo Make -A -Wish
Foundation of Colorado, Inc.
A public hearing was conducted on June 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Perry L. Buck, Chair
Commissioner Scott K. James, Pro-Tem - Excused
Commissioner Jason S. Maxey
Commissioner Lynette Peppier
Commissioner Kevin D. Ross
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Houstan Aragon
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Assistant County Attorney, Matthew Conroy
The following business was transacted:
IR I hereby certify that pursuant to a Notice posted May 22, 2025, a public hearing was
conducted to consider the request of Wish Ride of Colorado, fbo Make -A -Wish
Foundation of Colorado, Inc., for a Special Event Permit at 6728 County Road 3.25, Erie,
Colorado 80516.
El Matthew Conroy, Assistant County Attorney, presented a brief summary of the
application, shared staff did not present any concerns throughout the referral period, and
stated staff recommends approval.
El Tabitha Keagle, applicant, stated the event will benefit the Make -A -Wish Foundation
of Colorado, Inc., and shared the wish of one child in particular. She explained a single
wish costs $7,500.00 on average and the event's fundraising goal is $30,000.00. All five
Commissioners thanked the applicant for raising funds for the Make -A -Wish Foundation
of Colorado.
ID No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Ross moved to approve the request of Wish Ride of Colorado,
fbo Make -A -Wish Foundation of Colorado, Inc., for a Special Event Permit, based on the
recommendations of staff. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Peppier and it
carried unanimously. There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at
9:59 a.m.

The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Hearing Certification, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following
vote on the 16th day of June, A.D., 2025:
