Approve Extension of Oil and Gas Lease Covering Certain Property Owned by Weld
County, Colorado (S21, T8N, R60W) — Bison IV Properties Colorado, LLC
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County,
Colorado, and
Whereas, Bison IV Properties Colorado, LLC, submitted a request to extend the lease
of 1.21 net mineral acres, more or less, described to -wit:
Township 8 North, Range 60 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado
Section 21: A strip of land 20 feet wide adjacent and north of the present
highway right-of-way, extending westward approximately 2,640 feet from
the north and south center line of Section 21 to the west boundary line of
said Section, containing approximately 1.21 acres, also described as
Parcel B at Reception No. 721497
Whereas, said lease was originally set to expire on July 30, 2023, but was subject to a
primary term extension of 786 days, per Ordinance #2020-10, which stayed all mineral
leases during the pendency of a Declaration of Emergency Disaster by the Board of
County Commissioners, in turn extending the primary term expiration to September 23,
2025, and
Whereas, Weld County desires to approve the request submitted by Bison IV Properties
Colorado, LLC, to extend the lease on the above -described mineral acreage for $400.00,
which is equivalent to one-third (1/3) of the original bonus amount, to run for a period of
six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on September 23, 2025, and ending
at twelve o'clock noon on March 23, 2026.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that the request submitted by Bison IV Properties Colorado, LLC, to extend the
lease on the above -described mineral acreage for $400.00, which is equivalent to
one-third (1/3) of the original bonus amount, to run for a period of six (6) months,
commencing at twelve o'clock noon on September 23, 2025, and ending at twelve o'clock
noon on March 23, 2026, be, and hereby is, granted and approved.

The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 29th day of September, A.D., 2025, nunc pro tunc September 23, 2025:

dated 7/30/2020, recorded in Weld County, Colorado at Reception No. 4618923 ("Lease"). Bison hereby
exercises the option to extend the primary term of the Lease for an additional 6 months, through
3/23/2026.
