REUNIFICATION MONTH
JUNE 2025
WHEREAS, family is the primary source of love, identity, self-esteem and support for
children, and provides the foundation of our communities; and
WHEREAS, the bond between children, parents and family members promotes a nurturing
and secure, environment that is critical for personal growth and development; and
WHEREAS, arents can encounter problems that require support and resources to ensure
the safety ff r their children; and
WHEREAS, because of this important bond, children remaining home and/or reunifying
with parents and family is the best option and preferred outcome; and
WHEREAS, recognizing the families and professionals who prioritize unique family structures
by demonstrating a strong community, and recognizing teamwork is fundamental for
reunification; and
WHEREAS, celebrating reunification is an opportunity to recognize and support families
who have successfully reunified with their children, those families currently working
through the process, and the many support staff who help these families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that the
month of June be known as Reunification Month in Weld County. We urge all residents to
join us in this special observance in support of families.
