Congratulations!The Town of Pierce is being awarded a Weld County CDBG Program grant in the
amount of$242,440 for improvements to the Pierce Senior Center.Grant funds will be used for new
flooring throughout;an ADA compliant ramp to access the building;upgrades to the kitchen
including new sinks,counter tops,under cabinets;new LED dining room light fixtures;an HVAC
system and engineering and contractor fees.
The Weld County Board of County Commissioners have set the priorities for the Weld CDBG Program
as public improvements,access to public services and housing preservation.The Program is
designed to provide funding to address community development needs which principally benefit
low and moderate-income persons.This project meets the program goals)by improving a public
facility that provide services to seniors,who as a group,are presumed to be low and moderate-
income persons.
All projects require some level of environmental review which could delay start of the project.The
Town of Pierce,as subrecipient,CANNOT begin to incur either administrative or program costs
associated with the project until an environmental review has been completed and a subrecipient
agreement with the Weld County CDBG Program is fully and properly executed.Please contact

contracting procedures.

Congratulations!The Town of Lochbuie is being awarded a Weld County CDBG Program grant in
the amount of$167,400 for infrastructure improvements.The grant funds are to be used to assist with
costs associated with the design and construction of new ADA ramps on all corners of four(4)
different intersections in the Town Center area.These intersection improvements will provide ADA
accessible ramps that link the Town Center neighborhood to Lochbuie's new commercial corner
and existing Lochwood Park.
The Weld County Board of County Commissioners have set the priorities for the Weld CDBG Program
as public improvements,access to public services and housing preservation.The Program is
designed to provide funding to address community development needs which principally benefit
low and moderate-income persons.The project area is located in a predominantly low-and
moderate-income area of Lochbuie.This project meets the program goal(s)by improving facilities
that provide services to Lochbuie residents within the project area.

amount of$105,000 to continue a Housing Rehabilitation Program in partnership with Brothers
Redevelopment,Inc.for the benefit of its low and moderate-income residents.The grant funds will
be used for minor repair and rehabilitation of the owner-occupied,single-family residences of low
and moderate-income residents to address health and safety issues, code violations and
maintenance.

amount of$167,700 to revitalize Nunn's community center to meet modern safety,accessibility,and
emergency preparedness standards.Grant funds will be used to address aging infrastructure by
upgrading the electrical capacity,converting lighting to energy-efficient LEDs,replacing gym
ceiling tiles,resurfacing the gym floor,painting the building inside and out and replacing trophy
cases with safety glass cases to protect both memorabilia and visitors.

Phase Ill of Eaton's Nonconforming ADA Ramp Replacement project in the amount of$122,400.
Grant funds will be used to replace twenty-eight(28)individual/directional ramps to provide
residents within the historic core of Eaton safe and accessible access to parks,schools,recreation,
financial institutions,food,and medical attention(pharmacy).These ramp improvements,in
addition to the sixty-three(63)individual ramps replaced in Phases I and II,this will bring every
intersection in the project area into compliance with current federal ADA standards.

Congratulations!The Town of Platteville is being awarded a Weld County CDBG Program grant for
Platteville's Parks Restroom Facilities project in the amount of$261,000.Grant funds will be used to
install an ADA compliant restroom in Lincoln Park,one of the largest and most-used parks in Town.
Grant funds will be used to purchase and install a pre-cast handicapped accessible restroom in the
park and provide ADA accessible sidewalk and ramp access to the restroom from the street and
adjacent sidewalks.
